JW Marriott Residences
United StatesCompany Name: Wal-Mark Contracting Group, LLC.
Project description
Constructed on the white-sand beaches of Clearwater, Florida, the JW Marriott Residences is a 15 story tower with 36 vacation spaces each with an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico, on top of full amenity hotel with 162 rooms. These vacation residences are available in 1, 2, and 3 bedroom configurations and come with a full range of amenities. One of the key challenges during construction was the design of the multi-tiered ballroom ceiling, which required specific acoustics. CertainTeed’s Technical Team was able to support the contractor by suggesting the use of SilentFX® QuickCut™ drywall in a redesign to the isolated ceiling system while maintaining STC and IIC ratings. The use of CertainTeed’s products helped save time and money for the contractor while also keeping up with a very aggressive schedule.
