Cyrela by Pininfarina, located in Bela Vista, Porto Alegre, is a masterpiece of motion and innovation signed by the renowned Pininfarina studio. This multiresidential building features ceilings that narrate its dynamic essence. Highlights include race track-inspired designs in the garage, high-performance ceilings with Performa® plasterboard and glass wool for acoustic performance in all internal areas, and the indoor pool, which showcases Glasroc® X panels seamlessly curved at tight radii. Saint-Gobain products brought complex architectural elements to life, blending design and functionality to transform this visionary project into reality.

Project Adjustment
The complexity of the design required a collaborative effort between Masterwall, the project team, and the construction engineering staff. Aligning installation solutions with the specificities of the existing structure was essential. This integration prevented incompatibilities and ensured the design was respected without compromising safety and functionality.
Integration with Decorative Elements and Carpentry
The overlap of decorative elements and carpentry with ceiling installations demanded detailed planning. Careful coordination was crucial to ensure every design detail was preserved, while respecting the technical and practical constraints of the space.

Heated Pool Ceiling: Engineering Challenge

The ceiling of the indoor pool stood out as one of the most challenging areas of the project due to the combination of several complex elements:

Inclined Planes and Curves: The design incorporated curves with small radii (30 and 50 cm), requiring the sectioning of Glasroc X panels.
Uniform Appearance: To avoid the “hexagonal” effect on the sectioned panels and prevent cracking, Basecoat, a coating recommended for outdoor areas, was used. This ensured a smooth, uniform finish free of defects.
Decorative Skylights: Inspired by the Ferrari shield symbol, the skylights required specific templates to guarantee precise and consistent cuts in the curved moldings.

Delivery within the deadline
With a demanding schedule, the team worked swiftly and precisely to integrate structural and architectural adaptations made on-site. Every detail was adjusted to meet the project’s requirements without compromising the delivery timeline.
Use of High-Performance plasterboard in Ceilings
- The careful selection of high-quality materials reflects the commitment to elegance, durability, and innovation. The use of specific panels, such as Glasroc X and Performa, met both aesthetic and technical demands, especially in challenging environments like the indoor pool.
