Verdun Synagogue

France FranceContractors: WEREYSTENGER

Project description

Built in the 19th century, the synagogue in Verdun is a listed historical monument that required a complete restoration to preserve its exceptional character. The process began with the renovation of the axial coffers, iconic structural elements. The stained-glass windows, true works of art, were carefully restored, including the fabrication and integration of missing elements. The oculi and vaults were also renovated. The central molded panels were recreated identically, and cracks were treated to ensure durability and strength. This restoration exemplifies heritage preservation and the promotion of the plaster industry, while highlighting the company’s expertise in heritage restoration.
