Project description

Born from the rehabilitation of an old convent, the Convent Square Lisbon Hotel preserves the essence of the space by combining culture and tradition with a contemporary touch. The building dates back to the 13th century and has been carefully restored to retain original elements characteristic of Portuguese architecture, narrating the rich history of the convent.
Placo® solutions played a crucial role in this process, enabling efficient rehabilitation while respecting the original architecture.

Size of the project
• While the hotel was being renovated, the Abiant team encountered technical challenges. These difficulties resulted from the project’s primary objective of preserving the building’s original architecture as well as the large application area, which was over 5000 m2.
The union of design with thermal and acoustic comfort
• This project required the creation of interior spaces that highlighted the importance of art and culture, offered comfort and well-being to guests, and also provided well-designed areas for exhibitions and events. The integration of Saint-Gobain solutions helped create aesthetically pleasing, functional, and comfortable spaces.
