Heath Farm, Holt, Norfolk

United Kingdom United KingdomContractors: Lovell Homes, WSP Plastering

Project description

The Heath Farm project was a fabulous example of collaboration between Lovell Homes and British Gypsum. The appointed sub-contractor, Grandline Plastering (now WSP Plastering), was fully on board with this special project’s requirements: to install the British Gypsum specified systems and products to a high standard.
British Gypsum’s products and systems delivered very high levels of acoustic performance (GypFloor® Silent Floor RB1), durability (Gyproc® Habito Plasterboard) and innovation (ThistlePro® Magnetic Plaster) not commonplace within new build homes.
This has yielded differentiated homes with increased comfort, desirability and quality for a discerning customer base.

Local Environment

  • Sympathetic to the local environment in Norfolk, cobbles in keeping with the local vernacular were inset into the concrete block exterior, thereby maintaining the look and feel in the community.

Well-being

  • From the durability and mould-resistance of GlasRoc® TileBacker to the excellent sound absorption of GypFloor® SilentFloor, the products used in these homes help to enhance residents’ quality of life. These hugely innovative houses are acoustically exceptional – they’re unlike anything else in the area.
    • Spaces are more peaceful, the interactive surfaces provide more opportunities for creativity and organisation for both adults and children, and the features of the British Gypsum products add value to each home.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)

  • Products hold an EPD which measures a product’s environmental impact throughout its product lifecycle.

Total Commitments

  • Part of a responsible business, Lovell is led by five Total Commitments that serve as a framework for measuring, communicating and reporting progress both internally and externally. These five commitments, which are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, are: Protecting People, Developing People, Improving the Environment, Enhancing Communities, and Working Together with the Supply Chain.
  • Lovell has memberships and partnerships with several initiatives and organisations, such as:

Owner’s testimonial
Lovell Homes
The Habito board was a massive plus for us during the construction process as it is very robust, making it much more resistant to damage from scrapes and knocks, thereby improving the quality of the finished product.
Saint-Gobain Project Manager’s testimonial
Jeff Dean
Over almost 35 years of working with British Gypsum and subsequently SGIS in many roles but mostly as the Business Development Manager for Residential in East Anglia and the South East, I have never been a part of such a special and unique residential project that incorporated as many of our innovative product solutions across one housing site.
