Project description

To guarantee optimal insulation in the rehearsal rooms and the training room for concerts, the interior partitioning has been executed with Placo® PPH and Habito® with arena APTA and Geowall mineral wool from Isover, providing high performance for thermal and acoustic comfort. The ceilings have been made with Rigitone® and 4PRO® Activ’Air® to offer high acoustic absorption, also improving the indoor air quality. In the exterior areas of the building, Glasroc® X ensures high resistance to humidity, while the windows have been made with Climalit Plus® double glazing by Saint-Gobain Glass.

Key Challenges

Execution plans
• The execution plans, both horizontal and vertical, which have been adapted to the designers’ ideas, offering different plans, angles and flares, have been joined with the different elements of the work to offer the end user a high level of aesthetic, functional comfort and a high level of finish.
A new façade with thermo-acoustic insulation
• This project have been executed different wall cladding systems to improve the building envelope. The new façade required both in thermal and acoustic insulation.

Key Achievements

Excellent acoustic level
• The dry partitioning level has implemented the systems to guarantee optimum insulation in the test rooms and in the rest of the building’s rooms, improving the Alpha Sabine coefficients, in turn combined in optimal percentages with Rigitone® ceiling systems.
High quality finishes
• The different auditorium spaces achieved a high-level quality finishes due to materials implemented. The 4PRO® plasterboard used in ceiling has provided a Q4 level finish.
Placo®, Isover and Saint-Gobain Glass solutions combination
• This building combines Placo®, Isover and Saint-Gobain Glass solutions to obtain energy savings, better acoustics and better thermal insulation.

Sustainability in the project

Improved indoor air quality
• Better for the people: Activ’Air® technology, included in Rigitone® and 4PRO® board ceilings, has provided healthier spaces with better air quality for the visitors.
Acoustic comfort
• Better for the people: the refurbishment achieved an optimal level of acoustics, just as a building of this category demanded, not only in the teathre space, but also in all music rooms for rehearsals and concerts.
