Project description

The Kimpton BEM Budapest Hotel is one of Market Építő Zrt.’s most remarkable projects, resulting from the comprehensive reconstruction of a 19th-century building protected as a historical monument. The goal was to create a modern, premium hotel while preserving the historical value of the building, reflecting both Budapest’s architectural and cultural heritage. The design was executed by 3H Építésziroda Ltd., led by architects Katalin Csillag and Zsolt Gunther DLA, while the interior concept was created by Marcel Wanders. Construction began in december 2020, and after reaching structural completion, work continued with the impressive façade restoration and interior space design.
