Residence “O Barracão”

Portugal PortugalContractors: CB-TF

Project description

A residence that stands out for the originality of its exterior and interior design, centered around the open space concept. The unusual main structure, resembling a shed (the word ‘barracão’ in Portuguese), gives rise to wide and continuous leisure areas, shaped by the unique form of the roof and ceiling. One of the faces of the façade, entirely made of glass, allows natural light to fill the space, reflected in the long interior walls with a smooth finish.
Placo®’s plaster solutions played a key role in creating a warm, inviting, and soothing atmosphere for the residents.

Key Challenges

  • This residential project required extensive interior partitions throughout the home to create functional spaces. These long partitions ensured a sleek design, seamless integration of systems, and improved acoustic and thermal performance of the building.

Key Achievements

  • The project’s duration: CB-TF representative Carlos Barros says that his team’s excellent communication and teamwork enabled him to finish the job in just three weeks. This duration, in his opinion, was one of the project’s primary accomplishments.
