Project description
Located in Dubai International Academic City, opposite the City’s first purpose-built Student housing complex, the new University of Birmingham Dubai campus is spread over an area of 50,000m2, and has the capacity to accommodate 2,900 students.
Uniquely designed in the shape of a crescent moon and inspired by the University’s historic Aston Webb buildings in Birmingham UK, the bespoke new facility will provide a range of flexible, multi-use study spaces, complete with
the latest data and innovative technology, that can be transformed at the flick of a switch.
Facilities include a 300-seat lecture theatre and large auditorium as well as three, state-of-the-art laboratories dedicated to the teaching of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. In addition, innovative library facilities offer students access to a range of more than 500,000 academic articles, textbooks, and journals.
