Wexner Hospital: The Ohio State University

United States United StatesContractors: Valley

Project description

The 1.9 million-square-foot inpatient hospital is the largest single facilities project ever undertaken at The Ohio State University with up to 820 beds in private-room settings to elevate patient-centered care, safety and training for the next generation of health care providers.
Valley managed a crew of 450 carpenters for this massive project.
It’s built with enough steel to construct two Eiffel Towers. This 26-story tower is estimated to cost nearly $2 billion — more than Dubai’s Burj Khalifa — the tallest building in the world. It has twice as much concrete as Ohio Stadium. There is enough piping and wiring in the building to stretch 1800 miles/2896 kilometers.
